CV
Simon Ostaschenko was born in Astrakhan,
Russian Federation. In Berlin, he first
studied social work at the Alice Salomon
University and was involved in refugee aid,
led workshops for children and young
people, and supported Kyrgyz artists in
Berlin as an interpreter.
Since 2023, he has been studying at the
Berlin University of the Arts (UDK) in
Thomas Zipp’s class, focusing on painting
and mixed media. His works explore
urbanism, constructions of identity, and
issues critical of power.
